Friendship is something that is extremely important to me! And with everything that has happened in life over the past few years, friendships have become harder and harder to maintain. With work, children, church, home improvement projects...maintaining and growing friendships has had to actually be put on a priority list! Over the past year, God has placed three women in my life who have made a huge difference in many ways...my relationship with Christ, my relationship with my family, my attitude towards life and my overall sanity...to have friends that can point you in the right direction is a tremendous blessing that should be valued and cherished - and I cherish these three girls!!

Last night, I got to enjoy a wonderful dinner with two of these three dear friends of mine! Jamie and I share a special bond as both of our babies are due on the same day...(hard to believe, I know as she's teeny weeny, but we're both due on 9/9/09!), and last night we went out to celebrate her 4th addition and son...yup...ALL boys! This woman deserves a crown!!! She is one of the most hard working, devoted and Christ-like gals I've ever met and I count myself blessed to know her. She is homeschooling her children and loves her husband deeply...to have a friend who respects her husband, her family and her role in life and encourages you to do the same is something I greatly appreciate.

Jamie and Joy

Joy is a mutual friend of ours whose name is very fitting - she's one of the most joyful people I've ever met! She's an encourager and loves to laugh, and is ALWAYS fun to be around! Jamie actually introduced Joy and I and we hit it off instantly and became fast friends! We attend church w/ them and they attend our homegroup, and her daughter will be attending Sharing Tree with Rauly this year. She's a light in an often dark world and an eternal optimist, and I thank God for allowing our paths to cross!

The one person missing last night was Melody - another mutual friend who has become a part of our little "group". Mel is a tender hearted mom of 4 and is devoted to serving her family and her church body. She's married to one of the funniest men I've ever met, so it's a given that she's always up for a good laugh! Her daughter also attends Sharing Tree which made it that much easier to befriend her last year. I wound up introducing her to Jamie and Joy and before I knew it, we'd started a "Starbucks group" and now make every effort to meet regularely in the evenings to enjoy some fellowship! Unfortunately she couldn't break away last night - We missed you Melody!

All four of us have shared laughter, tears, and made memories together. Our husbands have even hit it off and have played golf, gone out to dinner and been to the movies together - which is just an added bonus! I thank God for placing these women and all the other women in my life (you know who you are!)...I am blessed to know you all!

Loved this picture of Jamie...isn't she adorable?!?!
