Surprises and Viruses.....

Last Saturday, my friend Brie was given a big surprise baby shower! It was so fun to see the look on her face as she looked around the room at all her friends from Orange Park who had come together just for her and baby Keeley! Her son, McGuire and Rauly are good buds and I added a few pics of them at a recent play-date. :)

On Monday, Shep had a Thanksgiving Day Feast that I helped out with, and as you can see from this pic, he was very surprised to see me walk through the door!!! :) The adorable little girl sitting next to him is Carolina (said with a spanish accent).

Thanksgiving Placemats made out of all of our hands....

And as for the "virus" part....tonight, we went to Ruby Tuesday's for dinner. Right as our waiter came over to take our order, Rauly looked at me and as if in slow motion, she began to throw-up ALL over the place! I'm still amazed at how well I managed to catch the majority of the throw-up in my hands or in a napkin without drawing any attention from the rest of the people in the restaraunt. Chad and I became an instant team....at one point, Shep began to gag too (he has really strong gag-reflexes), and Chad and I (in unison) glanced up at him and said "don't-you-do-it!!!!"....Shep immediately closed his mouth and tried to focus on something other then his barfing sissy. lol!!! Our waiter was awesome and ran to get us a load of wet and dry napkins so we could clean her up a little before we carried her to the bathroom....she threw up so much that we had to carry her to the bathroom IN her booster seat!!!....we then had to strip her down and wrap her in my jacket when we left. Needless to say, we left the waiter a very good tip and don't plan on ever going there again! :)

Whelp - that's our past week in a nutshell (minus the hours spent on Christmas For Kids!). I hope and pray you all have a blessed Thanksgiving Day with your family and friends...we all have so much to be thankful for! For those of you travelling...be safe!!! I'll leave you with a picture of something I am VERY thankful for - our new stackable washing machine and dryer along with my new pantry that Chad installed today....it may not look like much, but all that space is going to make our condo much more bearable!!! :)

as for your stackable w&d, i LOVE that idea!!!! i wonder if a 5'1" mama would be too short to enjoy such a thing... because all i need is one more reason NOT to do laundry!

Throw-up in a restaurant, now that's one I hope I never experience. You and Chad deserve a special treat for cleaning that up. And I hope you guys don't all catch it!

I love reading your blog, Lindsey...you're like the all american mom...being such a servant for your church, making things with your kids', dealing with throw-up at a restaurant, and getting extremly excited over a stackable washer and dryer...A MOMS PERFECT GIFT! I'm happy that you got your washer and dryer and even more happier that this Thanksgiving season has made you smile! Have a good one!

space solutions is definitely something to be thankful for. We have only been in our house for three months and I feel like I'm already running out of space.

Poor Rauly, and y'all. That sounds like no fun at all.

Have a happy Thanksgiving!

I love the washer and dryer!!! Awesome!!! As for the restaurant experience, I've done that too with Jacob at Chili's. That definitely earns us another gold star on our collars! ;0) Loved the pic of Shep, btw. Your kids are awesome!!!

Jamie - I've never noticed that my comments are on "california" time...you can tell how observant I am, eh?! I'll try to fix that this week!
