The Lion King
Last night, Dennis and Linda gave us the best early b-day present we could have asked for!!! A night out on the town to see the broadway performance of The Lion King as well as (and we all know this is the kicker), free babysitting!! :) It was SUCH a magical night!! We started off by heading to The Landings in downtown Jax where we ate on the riverwalk at Benny's Seafood and Steakhouse. It was delicious food, and amazing scenery - we watched Yacht after Yacht and Sailboat after sailboat pull up and dock right next to where we were eating - the beautiful downtown bridge lifted a few times to allow for barges and sailboats to pass underneath and it was just gorgeous to see!!

(This is an areal view of The Landings where we ate.)

(Pic of our table and our view.)

(Gorgeous at night!!)

After leaving the Landings, we headed over to the Times Union Center where the Lion King performance was held. If you have the opportunity to see this production in your city - GO!!! It was amazing!!!! I saw The Lion King in highschool while I was in NYC, but it's been so long that I had forgotten how wonderful it was. When the show ended the entire audience was on their feet clapping, hooting and hollerin' (which was probably highly innapropriate, but the performers deserved it!!).

I'm sorry there are no pictures of us - honestly though, the scenery and show were so much better to look at!! :) Thanks again Dennis and Linda, we can't thank you enough for such a wonderful night!!!

Lindsey- I am so glad that you guys had a wonderful date night. My parents saw Lion King and loved it. Seeing all the pictures of downtown really makes me miss "home". Hopefully you and Chad can have another night soon to focus on each other.
