Saturday morning we drove to Jacksonville to stay with Chad's parents. We had such a great visit - we ended up going to St.Augustine Saturday afternoon to see Jenny (Chad's sis) and she cooked an amazing dinner for our family! Great-granny, Aunt Nancy and Mindy (Chad's cousin) came to visit us in St.Augustine and we had such a good time with them! Sunday morning we headed to Palatka to attend Great-Granny's congregation...I LOVE the members of her church. There is a member who turned 100 years old this past year and she still manages to walk in on her own and feed her self lunch on the days when they have Dinner On the Grounds. Since they don't often have little one's on Sunday mornings, they always get a kick out of seeing Granny's great-grandchildren when they're in town! There is SO much wisdom in that congregation and I am always humbled when I'm there...seeing the elderly members treated with so much tenderness and respect, hearing the preacher speak with so much reverance...it is truly a wonderful experience. When we got home that afternoon, we went for a wagon ride, we fed the horses next door and Shepherd got to ride on his Jeep Wrangler...it was too cute!

It sounds like you had a good time. Anytime the grandparents can help you take care of the kids, that's always a good time!

Those pictures are so great! Shep looks precious on his little Jeep. Jace has one almost identical to it and he LOVES riding in it! The other day he backed it up and was pretending to hook Justin's trailer to its bumper! Isn't that funny? I love giving things to Jace and seeing his little face light up. That just makes my day. I know you feel the same way. :) You'll have to tell me where you got Rauly's PJ's. Those are so cute! I love them! Glad to hear that you guys had a good weekend! Love, Shauri

Hey Shauri - I can completely relate to seeing your child's face light up when you give them toys...I guess all moms react the same way! As for the pajama's, Rauly's Memaw got them for her, but I'm guessing it was Dillards. Hope that helps! :) That is SO funny about Jace's jeep - boys are SO much fun!

Lindsey, so glad that ya'll enjoyed Sunday (and Saturday, too). Sometimes because our congregation is so small, we lose sight of the blessings that we have there. The people are so caring and eager to learn from each other. Ed's lessons are always encouraging and we learn so much from his knowledge of the Word. Thanks for reminding me of the blessing that we have. Can't wait for next week!! Love you all!
