I've always thought that a big laugh is a really loud noise from the soul saying, "Ain't that the truth." ~Quincy Jones

I can pretty much know with certainty that Chad and I laugh about things that would make most people cry. I can remember one night where we were cleaning up vomit and...other stuff...and it was probably the most awful night of our lives! But when we fell back in to bed, we looked at each other and laughed so hard we were wheezing and crying. If someone had walked in to our room at that exact moment, they probably would've thought we'd lost our minds - I think we laughed for a good 20 minutes! But really, when life gives you lemons, make LEMONADE, right? I'm so thankful that Chad and I can find humor in the midst of chaos, because Lawd have mercy...just like most parents with young children, we have had our fair share of that!

For sure, living with three kids provides plenty of entertainment and opportunity to laugh. And as hard as it may be for most to understand, the sickness we've dealt with has also provided plenty of opportunities to raise our eye brows and silently chuckle. Chad getting "head-butted" by Shepherd at church, Rauly telling us about "Adam and Steve", Lillie Anna spontaneously counting to 15 and singing her ABC's when I hadn't taught her how to do that...things like this happen all day every day and it leaves Chad and I in stitches. Occasionally, I look up to the Heavens and say "really???". I'm tellin' ya', God DOES have a sense of humor! :-)

So, today I'm thankful for my life and for the laughter that is truly medicinal. I'm thankful for my three beautiful children and for the joy they bring. I'm thankful for friends who appreciate the humor and irony that each day sends. And I'm thankful for my partner who is on this crazy, wonderful, hilarious journey of life with me!

I have an idea of what you are talking about. I'm so glad you guys can laugh really hard about the "ugly side" of sickness, clean up and such. That would certainly help with the lemon episodes that life sends our way!
