Hi ho, Hi ho, it's Back to School we go!!!

What a sweet (and crazy) morning it was today. :-) We had lots of cuddle time and prayer time,...even some manicure time! Unfortunately though, when Lillie Anna caught sight of Shep and Rauly's back-packs, and water bottles, and school supplies, she decided she HAD to have them. And so ensued the drama. (sigh) Somehow I was able to snap a few pictures before heading out the door, despite Lillie Anna clinging to my leg and flailing about. And somehow I was able to make it to the kids classrooms without sweat dripping down my face despite the fact that I had to park 2 blocks away and carry: Lillie Anna, a Camera, Rauly's nap-mat, and several bags of school supplies. Needless to say, by the time I dropped both kids off with a kiss and a smile, and walked the two blocks back to my van (with a screaming toddler who didn't understand why we were leaving "Wawie and Deperd" behind)...I had to take a second in my van to collect myself. Then I smiled, nodded my head and said to Lillie Anna....we did it! :-)

Shep's "Star Wars backpack" and Rauly's new flowery one. :-)

Rauly requested multi-colored nails this morning...it seemed to give her a lil' extra confidence. :-)

Rauly with her wonderful Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Gast! I have heard SO many wonderful things about this lady and am thanking the Lord that Rauly got her! We found out that Rauly also has several sweet friends in her classroom - YAY!

Unfortunately, I didn't capture a picture of Shep with his sweet teacher, Mrs. Luke. :-( To be honest, he was the last kid in his class to walk in and I didn't want to embarrass him by saying "smile big for the camera!"...yeah, didn't really think he'd appreciate that. ;-) So, I gave him a high-five and said "peace out, yo!". Ok...not really. I actually left with Lillie Anna lunging for him and begging "Deperd" to come with us - Shep was chuckling to himself at his table (I love that boy...he's so precious and easy going, and I just LOVE how he can laugh at just about anything!). So, I gave him a wink and rushed out the door. He too has several sweet friends in his class and again, I'm thanking God for Mrs. Luke. She's good friends with several ladies who I used to work with at the preschool and she seems to be just WONDERFUL! YAY!

And so begins the 2011/2012 school year! It's off to a great start!

Oh to have been a fly on the wall to see all this...you paint such a graphic picture with your words though...it makes me feel as if I have actually witnessed the whole thing. It makes me lol and sit here with a silly smile on my face. Cant wait to hear about their day. I'm sure LA. will miss her wawee and duberd very much. She's going to be 2 in a couple of weeks! Time is moving on! Hope you have a great day!

I'll be doing the same thing next Monday. Austin's first day of kindergarten, and Aaden will be wanting to stay. Sweet children, I pray that they have an awesome school year!

I hope they have a wonderful year!!! Wesley wanted that Darth Vader backpack from Pottery Barn Kids SO BAD, but he got stuck with a Lego Star Wars one from Toys R Us instead b/c it was on sale for $9.99! I love it that your kids don't have to wear uniforms. Their personalities are able to shine through so much more!
