Happy 4th of July!

Last night, our family (along with Chad's parents and sis) went to Christ's Church for a special 4th of July celebration (FREEDOM SPECTACULAR). We almost didn't go due to being tired and knowing that if we went, we'd have to battle the rain (it was a dreary evening) AND we'd have to keep all 3 kids out until 10pm. BUT, we decided that this was something we didn't want to miss, and I'm really glad we went. There were bounce houses galore, and lots of little friends for Shep and Rauly to play with. And to end the night, our church provided the community with an INCREDIBLE fireworks display! I'm always in awe of fireworks and get emotional when I think of so many wars and battles and lives lost so that me and my family and friends can have freedom in the United States. What a tremendous sacrifice so many have made and I pray that America never loses sight of how we got here.

My little cuddle bug!

She slept throughout the entire fireworks show...Peepaw did a good job of keeping her ears covered. :)

Sweaty and sticky...but they're still smilin'!

Great pics! I love Shep's joyful expression in each pic. And that pic of just LA---her little face makes me smile. Those big eyes and her expression----she could probably ask for a pony and get it with an expression like that!
Love you and your awesome kids!

Aww, I'm so jealous! I didn't get to see any fireworks this year. Looks like ya'll had a great time. My birthday is July 5 and my dad always told me that the fireworks where to celebrate my birthday, so I get majorly disappointed when I don't get to see them. But I do remember the first time I actually understood what, and why we celebrate the 4th. Now my brother is in the Navy and the history and celebration is meaningful to me now.
