Lillie Anna ("Ah-nna") Eason

The name....choosing a name is HUGE for most mom's and dad's and it's no different for Chad and I. We personally love family names...we feel strongly about leaving a legacy and an appreciation for family members who have come before them. With Shepherd Lee and Rauly Marie, it was instant - as soon as we knew whether it was a male/female, we knew what names they'd be given. For this baby, had she been a boy, the same would've applied...we had a name for him!! BUT, God decided to bless us with a girl...so the search began. And sheesh-luiz, we could not find a single female name that fit for this sweet baby. SO...we began looking at scripture and really soul searching...like I said - for us, the name is HUGE!

One of my favorite scriptures has always been Matthew 6:28-30. "Why worry about what you'll wear? Consider the lilies of the field and how they grow. They do not work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as splendidly as they are! And if God cares so wonderfully for the wildflowers that are here today and thrown in the fire tomorrow, he will most certainly care for you."
Amy Grant sang a song called "Jehovah" and it has always made me pause, sit back and ponder how much God must really love us.

"Consider the lilies of the field
Solomon dressed in royal robes has not the worth of them
Consider the lilies of the field
He takes after each and every need
Leave all your cares behind
Seek him and you will find
Your father loves you so

Consider the lilies of the air
For all of the diamonds in all the earth have not the wealth of them
Consider the creatures of the air
Jehovah loves them with tender hands
He knows your every care
His touch is always there
To see you through the night

[Chorus:]
And Jehovah I love you so
And Jesus I want you to know
For all you've done for me to set me free
I'll never let you go

Consider the lilies of the field
For how much more does he love his own if Yaweh cares for them
Consider the creatures of the air
He takes after each and every need
If we ask Him for bread
Will He give us a stone
Jehovah loves His own

[Chorus:]
And Jehovah I love you so
And Jesus I want you to know
For all you've done for me to set me free
I'll never let you go"

As you can see from the title, we've chosen baby girls name....it's got a sweet ring to it, doesn't it?! :) We wanted a name that included the middle name, b/c we often refer to Shep as " Shepherd Lee or Shep Lee" and Rauly as "Rauly-Marie". After going back and forth, we decided to name her Lillie-Anna. We'll most likely alternate between calling her both (as if it's one name), and simply calling her Lillie.

Our prayer is that she will always know how deeply she is loved by her earthly and heavenly family. And that she'll never want for anything, but instead, that she will trust in the Lord and know that everything she will ever need comes from above.

Very pretty name! So sweet to have sisters! I bet Rauly and Shep are so excited! I have to say I'm a little jealous that you decide on your names so quickly! It took us until after Gracen was born to name her! And you look great...still haven't seen a fat picture! You look beautiful!

Oh, yes Gracen is tall for her age. She's over 100% on the growth charts...taking after her Daddy!
