A "Fuddy Dud" Halloween...

What is the definition of "fuddy-dud"?...blah, tired, lazy, or as we would like to put it...old fogies! What is the definition of old fogies?...a bunch of old people who put candy on a front porch with their lights on but are too lazy to say "happy halloween".

Last night, Chad and I had his family over for a grill-out...afterwards, we decided that we'd bypass our friends WONDERFUL Blackcreek Community (where we trick-or-treated with friends last year) and instead, we'd give our new neighborhood a chance. We new it was an older community, but we thought surely there were SOME children out here...alas,...we were VERY mistaken! After a few minutes of walking door to door to homes that either had their lights off OR their candy just sitting on their porch, I made the executive decision that we were leaving! So...we headed to the heart of Fleming Island and trick-or-treated in "Aunt Jenny's" neighborhood - the kids wound up having a blast (despite the chilly air and the constant drizzle of rain). I hope you all are thoroughly enjoying your Fall season and whether you celebrate Halloween or not, I hope your evening last night was magical! :)

Our Angel....

Mr. Incredible!...

In the front yard...ready to get some candy! :)

Shep and Rauly bragging that they were able to get candy without saying "trick-or-treat" (because no one was home!) lol!

Moving on to Aunt Jenny's neighborhood...MUCH BETTER!

Rauly saying "thank-you" as she received compliments on her costume...

They hit the jack-pot!

Sounds like you guys moved to a retirement community :). Just on our street alone we have 40 kids, it's a very fertile street. Shep and Rauly looked adorable.

One thing I noticed last night was 90% of the kids would walk up and open up their bags and not even say "Trick-or-Treat".....what's up with that?. Do kids not say "trick-or-treat" anymore. I did get a few thank you's though.

The kids were so cute. Boy Incredible was quite incredible with all the muscles popping out! Ms. Angelface was just that! Glad they had a good time. Wish we could have been there! I've seen glimpses of their bedrooms, now the den, and the backyard. When will you take more pics of the house? I know...in your spare time! :) Don't forget to set your clocks back an hour. You get to sleep an extra hour tonight! :)
