Jacksonville's Home and Garden Show, Avondale and our very silly children....
Yesterday morning, Chad and I decided to be crazy...er...I mean, spontaneous (that sounds better, right?!) and take the kids with us to the Jacksonville Home and Garden Show. It is held in the heart of downtown Jax at the Prime Osborne Convention Center twice yearly. The weather was beautiful and the kids were on their best behavior. :) While we attended booth after booth after booth, the kids loaded up on an entire years worth of candy (who needs Halloween?!) and we wound up having a great time! We got some helpful info on several things related to our new house (such as pavers, bathroom renivation, and exterior paint). Afterwards, we decided to walk to the Landing's...what we thought would be a mere stroll wound up being a 10 block walk...which with two hungry and tired children was not that much fun. BUT - when we finally got there, we were greeted by live music in front of the river and a nice table waiting for us near the water fountain. The kids had a blast singing and dancing (see video) while we watched the Hogs play the Gator's on a mega screen....poor poor Hogs!!!
**This video is off of Chad's phone...sorry, it's not very clear!**

The Landing's...where we ate lunch.
Chad and I had a really nice date last night (thanks Dennis and Linda for keeping the kids!)...we went to Avondale to eat at the Brick Restaraunt...it was soooooo nice to be alone together! This morning we went to church with Chad's parents and were excited to run in to Shannon and Greg King...Shannon is a blogger friend who we've never actually met in person - her and her husband are just awesome and it was so fun to chat - Shannon...hope to see you again soon! :)

OMG, I'm laughing cause that's one heck of a walk to The Landing. You guys are brave!. I grew up at FBC downtown so I have been in that area more times then I could possibly count. Good times :)
OK, I've been a terrible blogger, I'm getting caught up. Have you gotten moved yet? If not, good luck! You and the kids look great in the last pic. Hope that you got some good ideas for your new house at the home show, I love those things!
Congrats on the new house. Can't wait to see pictures.
What good is a new house if you can't "personalize" it!
Can't wait to see pictures of the new house! How exciting!! :)
Cute video of the kids, siblings are such a blessing. And I'm with Lane...can't wait to see pics of the house. We going to dive into the stressful situation of moving after the babies come..ahhh!
So I love your kids names, I think they are so cute and unique and I would love your help with the girls names...I feel like we have hit a wall or something coming up with new ones. So if you do happen to think of one let me know. We really like Karli or Kallie and we were hoping for the other name to not end in the 'ie' sound. I like Kadence, but Kev thinks it will get shortened to Kade (and sound too masculine) and he might be right. What do you think?
Glad you guys are finding things for the house! That is the way fun part- making it your own. :) I miss the Landing! I use to love going down there and just sit and watch people, the river and all the fun things they had going on there. If we ever get back there I look forward to taking Matt and the kids there! Can't wait to see pictures of the new place!
