MAKE SURE AND READ THE BOLD WORDS AT THE BOTTOM!!!
Time flies when you're having fun....
Is it just me or did the month of March literally just fly by?! I can't believe we're almost in to April! Work is going FANTASTIC and I am lovin' my new career! The current director is truly wonderful and we've become fast friends - she's proven herself to be a great teacher as well and is doing a really good job of showin' me the ropes. I'm being included in every aspect of the job...hiring/interviewing, chapel, budget/shopping, car-line, filing, ect - you name it - I'm learnin' it! She understands that the best way for me to learn is to simply do it and it is really wonderful to have the lightbulbs going off in my mind. Honestly, the transition has been very smooth for our family!...the only part I'm having a hard time with is finding the time to study for my classes. Everyone in the childcare profession has to take certain courses online regardless of your degree and honestly, I'm thankful for the classes because I'm learning some things I think will be helpful for next year. BUT - how in the world do I find time to study in the midst of toddlers, cleaning, work, cooking, ect. Oh well,...I'm just trusting that God will provide me adequate time to get it all done - why worry right?!
Funny story for ya'....a few days ago, Shepherd was with me in the office and the current director went up to him and asked him how he was enjoying having his mommy at work. He quickly smiled and said he "liked his mommy being the boss"....everyone around cracked up!!! I was SOOOOO mortified! I have never told him what my new job was...in fact, I've been probably overly cautious about letting him know what my new role was because I didn't want him to think he "owned the place" due to my new position...Just goes to show that kids are SMART - they observe and figure things out without us even having to tell them...my kids continuously amaze me! On that note, here's a few things the kiddo's have done or said recently....
Rauly: Calls Oatmeal "Memok"
Shep: Calls Fish Sticks "tooth picks"
Shep: We were driving to Silver Springs about a month ago and we needed to pull in to a gas station....I pointed out that there was a "Shell station" coming up and Shepherd said..."Shell?! Armadillo's have shells!". RANDOM, huh?!...but hysterical at the moment!
Rauly: The girl acts like she has springs in her legs and she bounces around like she's Tigger! Seriousely,...we're expecting her to be a long jumper or a hurdler on the track team some day! (Or maybe a middler blocker on the Volleyball team....hey - a mom can dream right?!)
Rauly: She's calling both me and Chad "mom" and "dad"....no more mommmy, momma or daddy....kind of sad but that is TOTALLY her personality! She's our little pragmatic, serious minded, "say it like it is" child. :) It is soooo funny to hear her sweet lil feminine voice hollering out "mom?" from her bedroom - we're going to have to adjust to her new grown up way of addressing us!
Whelp, hope you all have a great week!
Due to my new job, I'd feel more comfortable officially going private with the blog...I'd like to talk about the position, ect but don't at all feel comfortable giving any real details due to the fact that the entire world can read about it. I know I went private before and it didn't last long, but this time I'm stickin' to it...SO...if you'd like to continue reading and haven't already sent me your email (I have most of yours), then please make sure I have your email address so I can add you to the "invite list". Thanks everyone!!

Thanks for the update! I'm so glad the new job is going well. You're going to be SUCH an asset to that school! How funny that Shepherd already knew that you were the "boss!" You're right, children are SO SMART!!! By the way, I'm not sure if I commented on the last post or not, but the Easter pictures of your children are beautiful. They're really growing up!
Hope you have a great week.
Glad to hear it was a smooth transition.
You know to add me to your list for your blog. Going private was hard for me and I know that I have lost some "occasional readers" but it is so nice knowing I can talk about anything!
