We celebrated Rauly's birthday on Saturday and had a really nice relaxing evening with Chad's family...both the kids were still recovering from that awful virus (yes...it lasted nearly 2 weeks), BUT - we had fun regardless! Thankfully both the kids are back to normal again and Rauly is having a blast playing with all her new toys! Thanks to you all for her birthday wishes!!

Meemaw and Aunt Jenny ready to celebrate Rauly's 2nd birthday!!

Rauly AND Shep opening her presents!

Rauly couldn't wait to eat a cupcake!!

Shep and Momma' ready to help Rauly blow out her candles...

Rauly's tummy was still a little off from the virus, so she requested Oatmeal...not an exciting birthday meal, but at least she enjoyed it!

She felt good enough to eat the cupcakes though!!

Rauly with her new Raggedy Ann Doll...

Eating more cupcakes in her Birthday Girl crown and earrings...

Kayden (Rauly's bff) sent her a makeup kit along with a really neat Winnie the Pooh book!!! Thanks friend!

Playing with her My Little Pony Tea House and "Candy" her dog that Aunt Jenny got her at Build-A-Bear...

Christmas For Kids is well underway and tonight is the final "gift check-in" night! I can't tell you how exciting it is to see our sanctuary literally FILLED with bags of presents and bicycles all up on the stage! It is such a heart-warming sight and I'm so touched by our congregations giving spirits!! Many children and seniors are going to have a very merry Christmas this year! Say a prayer for me that I will have the endurance and the confidence to finish this out. It is VERY intimidating to lead an entire congregation seeing as how I'm half the age of most of them...so far everyone has been very respectful and has taken my lead, but I still feel funny directing large groups of 40 year olds!! I'm humbled to say the least and am very blessed to have been a part of this. I'll share pictures next week once delivery is done (which will be this upcoming Saturday)! Also, I was given a heads up that the newspaper is sending an editor to do a story on our program this Friday - they've asked that I be there for pictures, ect...ugh...say another prayer that I don't sound like an idiot! :)

Thank you for your sweet comment! I LOVE to garden and work in my flower beds, so it's something that makes me happy. We have actually planted 5 trees in our yard now since we have lived in this house. (which has been almost 4 years) Anyway, I'm glad to hear that the kids are better. I can't imagine 2 weeks of the virus...poor babies! (and you!!) Looks like Rauly had fun at her party. She is just an absolute doll! You have such a cute, sweet family.

I laughed a little about your last comment. I would love to be there when you are being interviewed. That is kind of nerve racking. Also, good luck with all the Christmas for kids. You always do well at any project, they are blessed to have you step up and take a leadership role. Can't wait to catch up. Glad the party was a hit too.

Thanks for sharing all the pics of the b'day party. Rauly looks like she was definitely feel better and enjoying herself. I laughed out loud when I saw that she was eating oatmeal (as a matter of choice!). Shep looked like he was feeling better too. Glad Linda and Jenny were there to help you celebrate. I think you said Chad was working till 9. Sad that he had to miss it. Sad that we had to miss it. :( So glad (I'm a really glad person aren't I?!) that Christmas for kids is going so well too. Let us know how the interview goes. Love, Mom

Oh I can't WAIT for Anna Kate to get big enough to enjoy all things girly! So far having a girl hasn't been any different from having a boy, but I can't wait for that God-given-girliness to come out as she develops her little personality! Rauly is just an angel! I'm so proud of you for taking on such a big role with your congregation! Can't wait to see pics!

Happy birthday Rauly! She's growing up so fast! She is so beautiful! It looks like she had a wonderful birthday. I hope she's feeling better. Poor little pumpkin! I can't believe what a horrible virus that was! Sorry I haven't commented in so long. We've just been super duper busy around here. I have kept up with things though. Love you, Shauri
