We're baaaaccckk!!! We survived our camping experience - and had a wonderful time! Anastasia Island State Park is really beautiful with 4 miles of crystal clear ocean water and beautiful sandy beaches. We really enjoyed everything - whelp...to be honest, I didn't enjoy having to walk up the street at night to use the restroom facilities. I guess after having 2 kids, my bladder isn't what it used to be - I think I made 2 trips a night! Oh well...at least the bathrooms were spick-n-spann and bug and spider free! Ok, well, I'll tell the rest of the story with pics....
Our "first born" Chase was given his own tent... :)
I'm reading my book while Chad is....
Cooking our scrumption dinner! (Grilled Rib-Eyes and Loaded Baked Potatoe's!!)

Have I mentioned what an excellent griller Chad is?! This meal would blow Outback Steahouse out of the water!!

Yes....the coffee maker came with us!!

We took a 2 mile trek to "Salt Run"...an intercoastal cove that runs 3 miles...absolutely one of the most peaceful places I've ever been to. You could see shrimp, large crabs, ect. swimming around the water...

Chase going after a crab...

Back for lunch...Black Angus Cheeseburgers - Chad strikes another home run!!
Kickin' back and lettin' the man cook for a change - I could get used to this....

Gettin' toasty....

Surf's up, dude! Chad attempting to boogie board...

Dinner at the Saltwater Cowboy - we got the best table in the house overlooking miles and miles of marsh and intercoastal waterway!!!

Our new friend "Steve the Racoon"...he loved us!
Taking a stroll on the beach - it was so quiet...can you imagine 4 miles of beach and literally only a handful of people being on it?! It was so nice but made taking pictures a little difficult. :) We found a lifeguard stand to sit the camera on and it worked ok but the wind was strong and kept knocking the camera to the side - it was pretty funny!

That's all folks! :) Chad and I are still kid free which means we've now successfully slept past 6:30am for 3 mornings in a row! (I think I hear a choir of angels singing Hallelulia in my head!) Ok...so we miss them like crazy - and actually saw Shepherd while we were in St. Augustine after dinner on Saturday night...he stayed with his Aunt Jenny and so we went by her house to hug and love on him...he of course could care less if we were there and was ready for us to head back to our campsite so that he could get 1-on-1 attention from "his Jenny" as he refers to her. :) Thanks again Dennis and Linda and Jenny for giving Chad and I some time together - we love you guys!

It looks like y'all had so much fun! I'm glad you got to have a nice relaxing weekend! Linds, you look beautiful in your dinner dress! It is so pretty! We took a little vacation to Branson this weekend with my cousin and her family. Vacation with kids wears me out! We had a lot of fun though! I'll post some pics soon.

Okay, let me just say that you make me absolutely sick to my stomach in your little ruffled bikini!!!!! You look absolutely amazing! You couldn't pay me to show my flabby hiney in that thing! Wow! Now, I'm going to have to go do some jump rope and crunches!

Okay, I am so jealous! I think Chad needs to be a little birdie and put that idea in to Zach's head!! Actually, we got a night alone last night for my birthday...I love the times when its just us...but I do miss the kids. Y'all both look great and so in love. So glad you got a weekend together and that God led you two together!

Looks like you guys had so much fun! You look amazing by the way! Lucky dog you! :) You certainly don't look like you've had 2 kids! I'm so glad that you guys got to have some alone time. That's the best. Isn't it funny how you always miss your kids and end up talking about them the entire time! I know we've talked about that before. It's so true though! Love, Shauri

Wow! I grew up camping and I can guarantee you it never looked liked that in any of the pics. These would be a good ad for luring vacationers to this place! You definitely did it in style and look like you were having fun and relaxing and enjoying each other! Can't wait to see you! Love, Mom
