"Baby Bun"

Melissa Hicks has asked me to post something on my blog to answer some of the questions some of you have. She will get on her blog when she is able.

Her and John went in today to have an ultrasound and find out the sex of "baby bun". They found out through the ultrasound that it was a girl, but they received devestating news. Their baby has anencephaly. I do not know how to explain this in an easy to understand way, so please click on the link to see the details of what their baby has. Melissa and John are being surrounded by loving family and friends, but desperately need prayers for strength, guidance and faith. I will ask you all to do this....get on your knees,...right now!!! Pray for John and Melissa to have wisdom, discernment, peace, strength, guidance and faith. Trust me, I know how easy it is to read something like this and say to yourself "man - that's horrible...I need to say a prayer for them.", but the next thing you know, your child or husband or mom or friend has interrupted you and you forget. Please, please stop reading right now and pray.

Chad left for Valdosta tonight and I will be going there tomorrow so I will do my best to answer any questions you have, but I will apologize now if it takes a few days to get back on here.

Lindsey- I am so glad that yall are going to be able to go and comfort John and Melissa. It is so hard to know that a friend going through such a hard time and not be able to be there for her. Please give her a hug for me and let her know that I am thinking about her constantly. Thanks for being such a good friend to Melissa. Be safe in your travels. Much love, Angela Grace

Linds, I do not even know what to say...it seems words do not adequately express the sadness that everyone is feeling. Please let Melissa and John know that they are in our prayers. I am also praying for your and Chad's safe travels. Please keep us posted.
