I'm leavin' for AR tomorrow morning - EARLY!!
We're going to leave our house at 4am because my plane leaves at 6am. Shepherd has flown a few times, but Rauly has never gotten on an airplane, and I've certainely never flown by myself with them! Please say a prayer that everything goes smoothly and that the kids are obedient. I'm bringing my double stroller so both the kids will be strapped in to a seat pretty much at all times - whether it's in the airplane or in the terminal,...but I'm still pretty nervous. Other than my nerves about the flight, I'm SOOOOOO excited to start my trip!! I can't wait to see my family as well as childhood friends! Growing up in a city like Little Rock and attending the same church congregation from the age of 3-18 was such a blessing! Don't get me wrong, my home is where Chad and my children are, but I naturally view Little Rock as my home as well - I guess I'm a country girl at heart...fields and mountains, big storms and blue skies, lakes and rivers...these things make my heart feel at home! I'm so blessed to have a husband who understands my love for my hometown and who makes it a priority to get me back to my family a few times a year! I know it's a sacrifice on his part - he's going to miss me and the kids tremendously just like we'll miss him!
Well, I guess I need to stop typing and start packing! I had planned on posting last night, as well as doing laundry and packing - however,...(I'm embarrassed to say this!), I was asleep by 7:45pm last night - can you believe that?! I haven't been sleeping good for the past 2 weeks...and last night I guess it all just caught up to me - I didn't wake up till 6:30am - and I felt GREAT for the first time in weeks!! SO - laundry, packing and last minute cleaning are calling my name! Talk to you all in a few weeks!
