My beautiful sweet daughter has finally decided it is time to begin feeding herself. "She's over 11 months"...you are probably thinking. Yes, we know...and according to our family pediatrician, Rauly has been a very lazy baby when it comes to feeding herself. She has joyfully opened her mouth like a bird, (up till today) and has welcomed food...as long as it comes from our fingers, not hers! :) But not today...today she picked up her cheese toast all by herself and very precisely put it straight in her mouth (which of course is good considering the fact that in 3 weeks she'll be 1 year old!). We are SO excited and very hopeful that this will be her trend from here on out! Oh , we love our little girl SO much and are SO proud of her for finally accomplishing this milestone...what's funny is she's already trying to walk on her own, and she may very well accomplish the task of walking and self-feeding in the same week. Hey - that's fine by us!

Yea Rauly! It's so much fun to see our babies grow. Don't you just want to stop time? We want them to grow like they're supposed to but it's so bitter sweet! She is such a pretty girl! You guys are so blessed to have two wonderful babies! Love ya, Shauri

We just gave the kids b-fast and Rauly fed her self AGAIN - halleluia!

Shauri - I very occasionally want to stop time, but when I do - I typically am very emotional and sad cause' it hits me how fast time flies!

Melissa- I guess all babies have their areas of laziness - Kayden's got plenty of people to hold her so I don't blame her for picking that area to be lazy! :)

maybe it just took some cheese to get her to feed herself...who doesn't like cheese!?!

Yea! How cute! It's funny how they all just decide on their own when they want to do something, even if they already know how!

Jenny - Apparently it was the right moment for a lot of things...she's really trying to walk, and today she started holding her bottle on her own! Crazy!!

Lauren - You're right...she's known she could do the self-feeding for a long time, but just didn't want to do till it was on her time!

Terri - I agree,...cheese was the key to her success!! :)

I still feed my kids when it's something really messy and if we are in a hurry. I hate letting them feed themselves oatmeal or soup! It's the worst. But, that's good that you are getting on track with Rauly.

What a big beautiful girl! She's smart, If I had someone to feed me I'd let them do it, too! What a princess!

She is beyond gorgeous! Even Chad made a comment at Homecoming about how beautiful she is!
