It's official!! We're leaving Savannah and moving to Jacksonville,FL!! Chad got a job in the Fleming Island/Eagle Harbor area teaching Highschool Math at the new Fleming Island Highschool!! Our house is up for sale and we're in the process of buying a 3 bed/2 bath, 1 car garage condo in the Fleming Island area that is 5 minutes from where he works. We are so excited about this for a number of reasons. This particular area where we're moving is one of the best public school districts...we'll be 5 minutes from an excellent new elementary school. Excellent school systems are very important to me - I was homeschooled for 7 years and then attended private school through highschool and college. Because of this, I've been prepared to send our kids to private school since before I knew I was pregnant. It's going to be a plus for our budget to be able to send our kids to public school and feel good about it! We're 2 minutes from a new Target, Wal-Mart, Starbucks, Library, Kohls, restaraunts galore and we'll be minutes from all of Chad's family and about 45 minutes from his extended relatives!

Having said all of that - to be honest, this move is a little bitter sweet for me. I'm going to be even farther from my side of the family (Jax is about 2 hours farther drive than Savannah) and we've actually just met a great group of christians in our new homegroup that Chad and I will be sad to say good-bye to. I know we'll make new friends in Jacksonville, and I will just have to accept the fact that road trips to AR will be very much a part of our yearly travel. Overall, I'm thrilled about this move and feel as if this is a step towards reaching our goals and seeing our dreams fulfilled.

What does this mean for the holidays?... Well, obviousely we won't be putting up any christmas decorations due to the fact that we are packing everything away. Surprisingly, I'm ok with this! We're going to Calloway Gardens in Northern GA for Christmas - we'll be renting a cabin in the woods with Chad's family and we're going to set up a Christmas tree there,...Santa will find Shep and Rauly - don't worry!! ;) Well, sorry that was SO long, but I had LOTS to fill everyone in on!

Yippee! I am so glad that you found this opportunity. The condo looks nice. They must pay teachers pretty well in Florida! Good luck with the move and let me know how things are going. Love ya!

I'm so glad you'll be closer to family! We'll just have to bite the bullet and travel more to see you guys! You're doing a nice job of coming to see us this year and I am loving it! The school and condo look so nice! You always said how good Chad was at helping you with math. I'm sure the kids will love having him for their teacher! It's extra nice that it's so close to your new home! We'll be praying that you sell your home quickly. Wish we could help, but sounds like you've got lots of offers! Love you!

Katie - Although teachers do make more in Fl than in most places, Chad will be opening a side business which is the main reason we can afford to live in this particular condo.

Everyone else - Thanks for your prayers, encouragement and support!! We love ya'll!!!

Jennifer - We didn't know about it when we were in AR and you're right...when God decides you need to be somewhere he opens all the right doors! We've already celebrated Rauly's b-day so we'll most likely just treat her extra special as we go about a normal routine. We have church homegroup tomorrow night so I'll bring a cake and let her celebrate with her lil' friends. :) What are ya'll doing for Avery since she's turning 2 tomorrow?!!

Congratulations Lindsey! That is great news. :) I didn't know Chad had a degree in teaching! It's a very rewarding job and I know he'll do wonderful in this new position. I'll be praying for you guys as you make your jouney. I know this will be a stressful time, but in the end it will all be worth it. Love you! Shauri
