BEFORE

AFTER

Shepherd's first tooth fell out while he was brushing his teeth last night. We had a mini-celebration before bed and made a big production of putting his tooth under his pillow. Shep doesn't believe in the tooth fairy, but he sure wanted to make sure there would be some kind of prize left under his pillow from mom and dad. :) He awoke to four shiny quarters and he was so excited!

As I tucked him in bed last night, I brushed the hair back from his forehead and just stared...soaking it all in. I can't believe my almost 6 year old is beginning to lose his baby teeth! There are definitely fleeting moments where I'm overwhelmed and tired and where I dream of the days when Chad and I will be able to sleep all night uninterrupted and have leisurely days....but last night, I just wanted to freeze time. So I became that ooey-goey momma' and showered him with kisses and hugs and love and I was pleasantly surprised that he never pushed me away or told me to stop...he just smiled and laughed and said "more momma!". Well, at least he's not too grown up for some sweet cuddlin' from his most special lady - me!

Loosing teeth?! I forgot about that, not looking forward to my boys doing that. I too want to freeze time sometimes to keep my babies at these ages. But I am looking forward to a full nights sleep sometime in my future!

Omg! That expression on Shepherd's face looks just like Rauly! I know he was proud to lose that tooth and get rewarded for it! I'm like you...I can't believe he's old enough to already be losing teeth. Hold on to your seat b/c time is just going to get faster!!!

Big Boy! I almost decided to tell Carter the other day that the tooth fairy was me, since the TOOTH FAIRY forgot to come visit him after he put his tooth under the pillow! Talk about feeling horrible!!!! He walked in the kitchen and said, Mom, the tooth fairy gave me back my tooth! I felt so bad!!!! she made up for it the next time. Who thought to make up the tooth fairy anyway? lol
