This prediction is a "best guess" but it's still just that -- a guess. Based on the formula we used* there is a 50 percent chance that your girl's full-grown height will be within 0.7 inches (above or below) of this prediction, and a 90 percent chance that it will be within 1.7 inches.

Shepherd Lee will likely be 6 ft. 5 in. at age 18.

Young men often continue to grow a little past 18 until they reach 21, but their height at age 18 is very close to their final adult height. This prediction is a "best guess" but it's still just that -- a guess. Based on the formula we used* there is a 50 percent chance that your boy's full-grown height will be within 0.8 inches (above or below) of this prediction, and a 90 percent chance that it will be within 2.1 inches.

Based on those statistics - we'd be lying if we said we weren't hoping for some athletic kids!!! We both LOVE sports (we'd enjoy cheering them on for any of them!)....but we also feel pretty strongly that kids need to PLAY at this age and not be in organized sports until they're at least old enough to ask to play a specific sport. If it was up to Chad, he'd already have Shepherd in Peewee Football, but I've put my foot down and said "NO WAY JOSE!". But...since Shepherd's swim lessons and Mrs. Angela's (his swim instructor...see previous posts) encouragement to put Shep on the swim team this summer...we've been beginning to wonder if we should consider it. He LOVES to swim and has already said he'd like to swim on a team (not that he probably has any clue what that means), but anyways (I'm rambling)...we're thinking about it.

And FYI - I whacked all my hair off and donated it to Locks For Love!!! I feel wonderfully refreshed and am LOVING having chin-length hair!! I'll post pics soon.....

And here's a shout out for my HU friend - Melissa Holley is getting married tonight in Nashville!!! I'm so bummed we weren't able to make it! Chad had a last minute business trip to Atlanta and because of that we had to cancel our trip to her wedding. BUT, for all you HU'ers who knew her - just thought you'd want to know about her big day...she's probably saying her vows as I type right now!!!

Those stats are pretty neat! I can't imagine where they would get their height from??! Can't wait to see pics of your new hair cut!

Can't wait to see your new haircut. You have such beautiful hair: someone is going to be very lucky to get it! Wow, looks like the kids might be a little bit tall. How exciting! I know what you mean about organized sports at such a young age. People around here put their kids in T-ball at 3! I've always been against that, but we'll see. Let me know which weekend you guys are heading to AR, and I'll see if we can work it out. We would LOVE to see you guys!

Good golly! Think my shorties can hire Shep as their bodyguard??? This prediction confirms my fears... Rauly just might tower over all 3 of my boys... I'm hoping she will have a thing for shorter guys!!!

Oh my goodness, it's so hard for me to think of your cute kids as six footers! But they have some great genes on their side. I can't wait to see your new haircut!

I used the website to find out how tall Will might be. He could be 6 ft. 1 in. I am so happy! I did not want him to be short like me. When will you post some pics of your hair? I guess the last time it was short was when Shep was a baby??!!
