This has been a great week! On Tuesday I made significant headway with Christmas For Kids (thanks to my friend Robin!) and had a wonderful date with Chad to the Cheesecake Factory (thx Jenny for watching the kiddo's!), on Wednesday Shepherd went to his preschool orientation, and I spent yesterday and this morning in Valdosta with the Hicks family!

SO, let me back up a little and talk about Shep's school. Chad and I have really prayed about this desicion and feel total peace about it. He is going to be attending the Christ's Church of Fleming Island private school which will be M,W,F 9-12pm. We are really excited about this program! It's a christian curriculum and I know the director personally from church (the school is in our home congregation)- she's a great lady and we feel really good about Shepherd being under her influence. But more importantly, we LOVE his teacher!! We're going to be having her and her family over for dinner next week so that we can begin to build more of a relationship with her - Shep can't wait to have her over! He starts next Wednesday so I'll post pics after his first day!! :)

Here's a slideshow of pics from our time with John, Melissa and Kayden. I felt like the couch theme was appropriate because Melissa and I sat on the couch talking nearly the entire time! It's so funny because we were interrupted by the kids every 5 minutes and so we both lost our train of thought constantly...we'd look at each other and say "what were we talking about?"....and then the other would say "I don't know!"....and then we'd move on to the next topic! :) We never ran out of topics though and that's one of the reasons I love her - I could've sat on that couch for 2 days straight if I didn't have to drive back to Jacksonville! Please continue to pray for their family...they appreciate them more then ya'll know!

We are so glad you came up to see us. I had such a great time catching up. I could have sat there another 2 days just talking. Glad you made it home safely. We love y'all.

Sorry I haven't commented in so long! It sounds like you are very busy! I know you will do a good job with the Christmas for Kids. Shepherd is going to love school. Avery asks to go to school all the time. We are thinking about enrolling her in a pre-school next fall. I'm excited to see his first day of school pics!!

Sounds like you have been very busy! Glad that you got work done on the Christmas for Kids (don't love that feeling of relief when something is done?)
I also happy that you got to go see the Hicks family. I know that it was good for you and them!

Awww...I love those pictures! So sweet! Those girls are so precious! Shep is too by the way. How fun that he gets to start school! That's great! I really like his schedule. I think that is an awesome way to get him introduced to school. If there was a way we could get Jace into a program that was only 3 days a week and were half days, we would have done that too. To answer your question you asked a couple of weeks ago, Jace and Ava stay with a wonderful lady that keeps about 4 other kids in her house. She's kept Jace since he was born. We love her. I feel completely comfortable with her. She is a good Christian lady and just spoils them rotten. I don't think I could have gone back to work if I had to put them in a daycare. Plenty of people do it, but for me, having Sandy was much better. Lindsey and I were talking about you this weekend at the lake. We were talking about how many car wrecks she had when she was in high school. She said she had 3 wrecks in 3 months, each on a Wednesday. She said one of them, you were involved in also. I hope she takes a picture of her ring and shares it on her blog because it's beautiful!!! You'll love it. I hope you guys are doing good. Miss you! Love, Shauri

Jennifer - I know Rauly and Avery are going to be verrry ready for school to start due to the fact that their b-days are Nov.30th and they'll both have to be held back a year. That'll be good though for us...one more year that we get to keep them to ourselves! :)

Shauri - Yes, Linz and I were in a wreck together - an old man with bad eye sight slammed in to us in an intersection. As for Lindsey's ring...(Linz, I hope you're reading this!)...I'd LOVE to see a pic of it on their blog!! (HINT - HINT - HINT) :)

He will love school...Amelia went twice a week when she was 3, she learned all kinds of important things, like how to share, how to clean up, how to get up in the morning, how to play all day and go to bed at night...and we learned to let her grow up.....just a little bit
