Happy Mother's Day!!!!

Wow - this has been a CRAZY weekend and next week is going to be pretty crazy too! On Saturday, John and Melissa came down to visit us in Jax. We met up with them for lunch and then we headed to the beach . I didn't bring my camera - bummer! Neways, they wound up getting stranded in Jacksonville due to Interstate 10 being closed because of the forest fires in Southern GA and Northern FL. After making an emergency trip to Wally World for necessities for Melissa,Kayden and John, we headed back to the condo and ate pizza, watched a movie and then we all crashed! The Hicks ended up being able to go back to Valdosta this morning which was good because I know they wanted to be with family on Mother's Day.

Which brings me to today! Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful mommies out there! :) For the past few weeks I've been planning a Mother's Day get together for all of Chad's family. After church this morning we all went back to Chad's granny's house in Palatka,FL and Chad grilled out for us all! It was SOOO fun! We also had an early birthday celebration for Shepherd who is turning 3 on May 19th. To see more pics of our day, you can to go to the Siegel Family Blog.
This is Shep trying to act like his older cousin Earl...

Rauly learning how to "properly throw a football". :)
Shep had SO much fun playing on the slip-n-slide, runnin' through the sprinklers and playin' in the baby pool!
Happy b-day to Shep!!!

Well, that about sums up our very busy past few days! Tomorrow, Chad leaves for Atlanta for business...he'll be getting more thoroughly trained on K.I. He's been through this before when he worked in Savannah, but now that we have our own company, it's even more important that he attend these regular product and sales training. Chad is excited to attend all the meetings...I however do not like being alone at night...my protective instincts kick in and I think I hear every single sound within a 2 mile radius of where we live! Hehe! Seriousely, I'm very thankful he's having the opportunity to go and I will be equally as thankful when he is back home with us! :) Say a prayer for safe travels for him please - he's flying out tomorrow afternoon! Thanks everyone!

Well, looks like Shepherd got his "green" b'day party. Great job on the party and cooking to boot. It makes me dizzy with all that you guys do and accomplish all in the name of family! Wow! Wish Mike and I could have been there to help celebrate, but looks and sounds like you guys had a great time. I'll check out the other blog now. Happy Mothers Day to a great Mom! Love you! Mom

I hope Chad has a great time on travel and gets home soon! Rob just came back from Virginia last night after being gone for a week, so I know how overnights can be stressful! My word of advice....whatever you do DO NOT watch anything even remotely scary on t.v.!! I made that mistake once and got so freaked out!! It's all about sitcoms and chick flicks for me!

Hey Lindsey ... the new Traveler's ballpark (Dickey-Stephens Park) is really nice ... you would have a ball :) You need to take the kids when you're up here next time. I did call you yesterday - trying to find out if Melissa and John made it out of there ... She called me later but must have had her ringer turned off when I called. Glad you had a great mother's day!

Hey sweet girl! Love, love, love Rauly's dress! Do you think they have a mini-me dress for Ava? I know what you mean about staying at home by yourself. It totally freaks me out too. It's sad when you feel safer when your 3 year old sleeps next to you! When Justin is out of town or as in our case these past 2 weeks, Jace and sometimes Ava will both be in bed next to me. I of course don't mind and love every minute of it. Here pretty soon he'll be too big to sleep with me and he'll tell me no. :( Please Lord, let that be far far from now! :) Justin is doing better! Praise God! Keep praying for him though! Hope you had a good Mother's Day! Love you, Shauri

Oh Lindsey, I hope time flies by while Chad is gone and that the kiddos feel better soon. I don't blame you for not sleeping well while he's gone...I'm a super chicken too. I think it must be a girl/maternal thing that we hear every little noise.
