Ok - 1st of all - this is NOT a picture of my television and mantle - I just got it off of Google Images. Trust me - I do not keep a statue of Buddha on my fireplace! (Actually , I have no clue what that statue is, but it doesn't look like something I'd want in my house!) Neways, our digital camera broke the other day and we're in the process of purchasing another one. Until than however, it will be google images!!

When I got back in to AR, Chad had installed our plasma t.v. above our fireplace and had set up our surround sound system - SO nice!! When we purchased our condo, one of the perks was a plasma, surround sound system, and an ipod. Pretty fun, huh?! Neways, Chad and Jenny left tonight to pick up their parents in Tampa (they're returning from their vacation in Europe). As I waved goodbye to them and turned around, I realized our house was a complete disaster!! Does anyone elses house get trashed while on vacation?!?! Apparently I go in to "vacation mode" where I just don't pick up after myself or anyone else....and for all the moms out there - you know what that means! (NOTHING gets done!) I'm really not complaining...Chad and I have an unspoken understanding...he handles the finances, the business, the outdoor work, and I handle the cooking, cleaning, ect. OK - now back to the main focal point of this post! The T.V.!!! For the first time ever, I'm about to go do my dishes, and watch television at the same time!! I'm SO excited! (We don't have cable, but I'm perfectly content to watch the channels, 4,7, and 11!!) LOL!! So, the kids are in bed, the dishes are waiting and so is my remote control!!

Awesome t.v.! Justin would kill to have that t.v. For that matter, I would kill to have that t.v.! What a great perk to have with the purchase of your condo. :) I hope you got to watch it all by yourself! Have a great week! Love you, Shauri

Shauri and Jenn - I think one of the main reasons Chad wanted to purchase this particular condo was because he knew we would receive the "perks"! Isn't it funny how men are so in to t.v.'s....it's definitely always the bigger and louder, the better! :)

Terri and Jenn - Glad to hear we're not the only family living in the "ice age" who don't have cable or satellite! It's funny because now that we don't have it, I'm amazed how many people say they don't have it either!

Melis - Chad and I will have a bowl of popcorn and diet coke waiting for ya'lls surprise visit - I would LOVE for you guys to come watch a movie with us - it would be like the old days when we lived in Cabot!!!

Melis and Terri - you two crack me up with your "sister banter"!

Wow those a great perks! And what a great travel journal. I'm so impressed!
We're no-cable-people too. It's really not bad once you get used to it. I really miss the Food Network, but other than that, I have everything I need on ABC :)

Any particular reason for no cable? I think I could find a lot more free time if I lived without it! I may have to think about doing that! But...then again, not sure if I'm that strong.
I'm jealous of the perks!

Hey Kim - our reason for no cable is pretty boring...we just need to save the money right now! :) I can't live without internet so for me that is my outlet!
