To all the moms out there: Have you ever had one of those days where you are literally counting down the minutes till your husband is home and can give you a much needed break?! Shepherd is SUCH a handful! I do my best to stay on the go so that I wear him out by his naptime or bedtime...but between Rauly's naps, and meals, baths, and chores...it can take me longer then expected to step foot outside. Yesterday was one of those days...it was rough for everyone. Shepherd peed on the floor twice, pooped and didn't tell us and ended up getting it all over our comforter (it's at the dry cleaners now), ended up requiring 3 baths due to getting in to dirt/food/and something I won't even say (it doesn't take a genius to figure it out). I spanked him, sent him to his room and cried right along with him a few times...whew,...I'm not joking when I say it was rough for everyone! I asked myself out loud yesterday, "where is my beautiful, sweet, angelic and quiet little boy that I birthed 2 years ago?"...Chad laughed and said "honey, he's gone...never to be seen again!". We're all recovered today, but I'm tellin' ya'...yesterday I was kickin' myself for not putting him in school!

Today thankfully has been much better! Out of all of the seasons, fall is by far my favorite! Because the weather was so nice today, we went to Skidaway Island National Park and enjoyed a picnic lunch. (We're trying to stay on track with our goal to learn more about the history in this area.) Next we went to the mall to buy some new clothes for Chad. He's lost 63 pounds in 6 months and is now in a size large shirt and 36/38 pants. It's been fun for him trying on new clothes...not so fun for our budget! ;)

We're home now, both kids are down for a nap and I think we're about to join them! Hope you all have a great day!

Well I don't have any kids but being with Kayden this weekend makes me appreciate moms everywhere! She is very good but she goes and goes and goes ... never just wanting to lay down and rest (like I do). I had a great time in V-town but I am already anxious for homecoming. I can't wait to see Rauly ... I don't think I've seen her in real life yet! Keep up the good work with your kids...they'll be in school before you know it.

You're doing a great job! I know exactly how that feels to be overwhelmed. Most days, the chores are thrown out the window at my house. I just spin my wheels half the time. But, as my parents always tell me: "If you go to bed at night and all you have accomplished all day is to play and love on your kids, you've had a great day!" I have to remind myself of this all time...now I will remind you. Love ya!

Girl...I have days like that all the time! I think that's just part of being a mom. We would be kidding ourselves if we didn't admit to those times! :) I'm so glad I've gotten to visit your site. It's so neat! I love the pictures! I didn't even recognize Chad! You both look great! And, what beautiful babies you guys have! :)

Thanks for the encouragement girls!

Melissa: I would have called you but I don't think I could have finished a sentence that day due to being so flustered!

Jennifer: I can't believe that Avery causes you trouble...she seems so soft-spoken, but I guess that just goes to show that all toddlers are equally destructive!

Terri: We can't wait to see you at HO - Rauly is very excited to meet you in person!! :)

Katie: Thanks for the encouragement and I loved your parents quote - I need to tape that on my forehead!

Shauri: After seeing the pic of Jace rubbing baby lotion all over his p.j.'s, I know you can relate!!

Wow...sounds like a tiring day!! I know what you mean about days when you're counting down until daddy comes home! I feel like that sometimes after Mother's Day Out. I love 4 year old's, but I never stop and it's exhausting. Way to go Chad for loosing 63 pounds!! That's awesome!! Those are really cute pics, by the way! You have such a beautiful family.
